Press Release Body: FULLERTON, CA--May 14, 2008-- In today's battered economy some
businesses and individuals are "hunkering down" waiting for the storm to pass. Then
there are those like Flashecom that are viewing current economic conditions as an
opportunity for growth rather than an obstacle to success.
VP Audra Hajj is heading Flashecom's transformation if you can call it that. After
all, Flashecom has historically focused on business enablement which is why the
company has grown so fast.
While some platform and shopping cart vendors are focusing on product features and
functions, Flashecom is doing all that but bringing it all together in a business
framework that allows people to focus on building their businesses rather than the
interworkings, features, and functions of software. The company offers a hosted
shopping cart solution so its customers don't have to worry about software updates.
Software updates are included with the price of service, which is a flat fee or
percentage of sales depending on the customer's sales volume per month.
Flashecom's model is apparently a hit with Software and Information Industry
Association members and award judges. The company was recently named a finalist in
the 2008 SIIA CODIE awards.
Flashecom has also been producing its own set of seminars in major and secondary
cities around the U.S. which help world-be entrepreneurs, business owners and
managers better understand how they can build and grow a successful online business.
The latest move is really meant to take the fear out of online selling,
particularly among those who are obsessed about the worst that could happen if the
economy continues to falter in the coming months. Specifically, the company has
created a program for individuals looking to take control of their future that
focuses on drop shipping.
"Manufacturers, distributors and wholesalers are looking for people to launch and
maintain websites," said Hajj. "These companies will drop ship the items to
customers and customers are happy to pay the difference between wholesale and retail
because it's convenient. People who work from home can eliminate expenses like gas
and childcare while creating a nest egg for future trying times."
Hajj maintains that now is a great time to start or grow an online business despite
current economic conditions. Although the concept may appear counterintuitive,
consider that high gas prices are motivating people to stay home and shop.
As part of the new strategy, Hajj and her team are putting together a downloadable
handbook that will be available in the near future. It will contain lots of
practical information about online selling, marketing and merchandising. Better
still, it will provide practical business advice about steps online sellers should
take to improve their odds of business success. Some of the tips will include
little administrative details like how and why to get a business license, what to
ask when selecting the proper internet speed, drop ship directory listings,
ecommerce glossary of terms, how to bring customers, how to set up bookkeeping, and
more.
Flashecom is also planning its own set of late-night TV infomercials to kick the new
strategy into high gear.
On October 2, the company will sponsor its own Symposium at Online Market World
which will be filled with great advice, tips, techniques, special offers, and even
prizes.
"People need to know there's as much or more opportunity to make money online than
there ever was before," said Hajj. "We're just helping customers and prospects see
the opportunities that are often overshadowed by glum economic reports."
